Instructions

Go to Settings (top right corner) to select your date range, databases and courts.

Under Query Input, enter your fact pattern in natural language. Make sure to include quotation marks around one specific keyword or key phrase that you expect to appear in your search. For example: "application" or "breach of contract".

Example Query

A dispute over defective goods and "breach of contract" involving two companies where one company claimed the goods supplied were defective and sought damages, while the other company denied responsibility and argued about arbitration clauses.

The Search Results tab displays the search output by relevance and chronological order (newest cases first). You can narrow your search further by choosing specific databases and courts under All Sources.

The Further Queries box (bottom right corner) allows for additional questioning of the results for the database currently selected.

Example Further Queries

Create a table of the top 20 cases with the following columns: case name, case date, cited cases, verdict of the case, reasoning of the defendant, reasoning of the plaintiff.

Rank the top twenty cases based on their authoritative status, provide detailed reasoning and include text excerpts as evidence wherever possible.

Identify which of these cases discuss legal principles and points of law relevant to the previous user query. Explain your reasoning in detail and provide text extracts as supporting evidence.
